Gooderson is a surname of somewhat obscure origin, research into which this website is dedicated. There are ample indications that previous Gooderson Family History research has been carried out on a piecemeal basis by interested parties working independently of each other, resulting in the waste of much time and effort through duplication. The Gooderson One-Name Study and its website were inaugurated to help remedy the situation by organising a repository for Gooderson Family History data and by making it permenently available to anyone with a legitimate interest.
