A Y-DNA project designed to uncover information that is not currently available in conventional records has been launched today.
Expected to be a great help with research into the various Gooderson, Goodinson and Goodison family trees, it will enable a determination to be made of which family trees are related to which and, as the project progresses, the results obtained for each of the trees will provide information on the evolution of the surname. The Project, which has been planned from the outset to include a 67-marker test, is being carried out as part of a One-Name Study organised by the Gooderson Archive and registered with the Guild of One-Name Studies. Further information can be found on the front page of this website and on the Family Tree DNA website. |
