By my Executors |
Item: I give unto Robert my son and his heirs one tenement lying and being in Shipdham with the Appurtenances thereto belonging. And also I give unto Robert my son Twenty Pounds of good and lawful money of England to be paid by my Executors immediately after his Apprenticeship be expired and ended with Edward Bath his Master. |
Item: I do give unto James my son and his heirs three stalls, the two I have in East Derham when he shall attain to one and twenty years of age and the Swaffham immediately after my decease. |
Item: I give to Robert my son one Ivory ? bedstead with the feather bed one feather bolster one feather pillow two pairs of sheets mattress with the coverlet thereto belonging immediately after his time be expired with his said master. |
Item: I do make and ordain my wellbeloved wife and James my son soul executors of this my last will and testament. But it is my will and mind that my wife shall make use of all my goods and chattels until James my son shall attain unto one and twenty years of age for and towards the maintaining of him with food and lodgement. And also it is my will and mind that if it should happen that my wellbeloved wife shall commit matrimony before James my son shall attain to one and twenty years of age, then therefor to give and make a true and fair amount in money or goods of the one half of all and singular the goods and chattels aforesaid unto James my son at or before the said day of marriage be solemnised. And it is also my will and mind that if it shall please God that James my son depart this life before he shall attain the age of one and twenty years then it is my will and mind that Robert my son shall have the one half of my goods and chattels in such manner and form as James my son should have had: In witness thereof I have herewith put my hand and seal this day and year first above written. And further I do Institute and appoint William Clarke of Scarning in the County of Norfolk therefor to be a supervisor of this to be my last will and testament and do give him forty shillings for his payment to be paid within three months after my demise by my executors: Read sealed and delivered. |
