In the name of God Amen. I William Gotterson of Grimston in the County of Norfolk, Farmer, being of Perfect Mind and Memory make this my Last Will and Testament In manner and form following First, I bequeath my Soul unto the handling of Almighty God hoping through the Merits and Mediation of Jesus Christ my Beloved Saviour and Redeemer to receive Pardon for all my Sins And my Body I Devise may be Decently buried at the Discretion of my Executrix and Executor having after named My Temporal Estate I Bequeath and Dispose of in the Manner following Imprimis To Samuel Chapman I Give and Bequeath the Sum of Forty shillings for his Trouble in taking care to make the best he can of my Goods Chattels and Effects for the use and benefit of Mary my Loving Wife From all and Singular my Goods Chattels Personal Estate and Effects of what kind or nature soever and wheresoever I Give and Bequeath unto Mary my Loving Wife for her Support and Maintenance during the Term of her natural Life She the said Mary my Loving Wife paying my Just Debts and Legacy and Funeral Expenses And if anything of my Goods Chattels Personal Estate and Effects remain over and above the Payment of my Just Debts and Legacy and the Support and Maintenance of the said Mary my Loving Wife during the Term of her natural Life My Wish and Desire is that that remainder be it what it will shall be equally divided between Lettice Gotterson and Sarah Gotterson the Daughters of my Brother Thomas Gotterson That is to say Share and Share alike Lastly I do Constitute and Appoint Mary my Loving Wife and the said Samuel Chapman Executrix and Executor of this my Last Will and Testament And I do hereby utterly Revoke Disallow and Disanul all former Wills by me in any ........ made declaring this to be my Last Will In Witness whereof I have now unto Set my Hand and Seal this Twenty Fifth Day of June One Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty Three |
