MARY GOODERSON OF LYNN, NORFOLK – 1881

 
 

This is the last Will and Testament of me Mary Gooderson of Smiths Buildings St James Road Lynn in the County of Norfolk made this Eighth day of July in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and eighty I hereby revoke all wills by me at any time heretofore made I appoint Robert Lane of East ?Winch in the County of Norfolk to be my Executor and direct that all my just debts and Funeral and Testamentary Expences shall be paid as soon as conveniently may be after my decease I give and bequeath unto Robert Lane of East ?Winch in the County of Norfolk all my Furniture and possessions not hereinafter disposed of to other persons To my two Sisters Elizabeth ?Flegg wife of Edward Flegg of Walsingham Norfolk and Sarah Flegg wife of Robert Flegg of Church near Blackburn Lancashire and my two sisters-in-law Susan Magnus wife of John Magnus Walsingham Norfolk and Susan Magnus wife of James Magnus I leave my clothes ……. And bed lined except otherwise herein disposed of to be equally divided among them To Harriet Lane daughter of Frederick Lane of East ?Winch Norfolk I leave my Six Silver Tea spoons a pair of Silver Sugar tongs and a picture called the ‘The Refuge’ To Mary Ann Back I leave Six Tea Cups and Six Saucers Hop Basin and a Metal Teapot To the Rev W A Culling Vicar of Gayton Norfolk I leave the picture ‘Our Saviour on the Cross’ To Ann Thursby wife of Frederick Thursby of Tower Street Kings Lynn Norfolk I leave my White Counterpane my best white Table cloth and my Satin dress To Elizabeth Gazley Thursby daughter of the aforesaid Frederick and Ann Thursby I leave my chest of Drawers Looking Glass Tray, Cedar wood Box and Photographic Album I wish my body to be buried in East Winch Churchyard and the said Robert Lane my Executor to superintend my funeral and to pay the expences of my said funeral with the money deposited by me in the post office Savings Bank for that purpose

 

Signed by the said Mary Gooderson the Testatrix in the presence of us present at the same time who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses William Henry Taylor Charles Parr

 

Proved at Norwich the twelfth day of October 1881 by the oath of Robert Lane the Sole Executor to whom administration was granted

 

The Testatrix Mary Gooderson was late of Smiths Buildings, Saint James Road Kings Lynn in the County of Norfolk Widow and died on the twentieth day of July 1881 at Kings Lynn aforesaid
