THIS IS THE LAST WILL and TESTAMENT of me JOSEPH WILLIAM GOODERSON of 5 Nelson road Harrow in the county of Middlesex Builder I appoint John Alfred Massey of West Street Harrow aforesaid Undertaker and Charles William Haynes of West Street Harrow aforesaid Newsvendor EXECUTORS and TRUSTEES of this my Will I direct all my debts funeral and testamentary expenses to be paid and satisfied I give all my furniture and household effects to my wife absolutely I devise and bequeath all my real and personal estate (not hereby otherwise disposed of) to the said John Alfred Massey and Charles William Haynes upon trust to sell call in and convert the same into money and to divide the proceeds into two equal moieties One moiety or half part I give (and direct them to pay) to my wife for her use and to be at her complete and absolute disposal as she thinks fit either by any act to take effect in her lifetime or by will but if at the time of her decease any portion of the same be undisposed of I bequeath the same to my children as tenants in common I direct the other moiety to be divided between my seven children William Edward (now in Australia) Mary Elizabeth George Herbert Walter Sidney Rose Alice Arthur John and Ernest Edward equally as tenants in common I declare that my Trustees may postpone the sale or conversion of my estate into money for so long as they shall think fit I direct my trustees to complete and finish fit for occupation or sale any house or buildings that may be in course of erection on any of my property at the time of my decease and I direct them to employ my son George Herbert to manage and superintend the working of the same and I declare that if any of my Executors or trustees is an Undertaker he may be employed so to act and shall be entitled to charge and be paid for all work done or services rendered in the way of such business IN WITNESS whereof I have hereunto set my hand this eighth day of June 1896 – JOSEPH WILLIAM GOODERSON – SIGNED by the said Joseph William Gooderson the testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence and the presence of each other all present at the same time have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses – LLYWELYN GRIFFITHS of High Street Harrow Solicitor – HENRY WELLS of 6 Nelson Road Harrow |
